Our annual Garden Showcase recognises and celebrates the incredible gardens across our city. It is open to residents, community groups, organisations, businesses and schools that want to share the story of their garden. This year we have some great new categories and our community will help judge the winners.

Categories: 

• Edible garden – For productive gardens growing fruit and vegetables.
• Young gardener (under 12) – For children under 12 years old who show enthusiasm or commitment to gardening.
• Verge garden – For attractive verge gardens that meet our Verge Development Guidelines and have been designed with the environment in mind.
• Wildlife-friendly garden – For gardens that support native wildlife such as birds, bees, butterflies, reptiles, frogs or bats!
• Outdoor garden – For attractive residential gardens that show originality or creativity and consideration for the environment.
• Gardening together – For communal or shared gardens that show how gardening together can build social connection. Entries are encouraged from community gardens, schools, childcare centres, community organisations and businesses.

This year we’re asking our community to help us choose a winner, with prizes for each category. Winning entries receive a $100 gift voucher, or $50 for the Young Gardener, and professional photo shoot of their garden.

Entries are open until 6 November 2022. Voting is open from 10 to 27 November 2022.
